Marley is 8 months!

My sweet Marley is 8 months old! She is getting smarter and smarter everyday! I thought I would just list some things about her life as it is now.

- Marley is still wearing 0-3 clothing and moving into some of her 3-6 month clothing (particularly things that have long pants)
- She is still wearing a size 1 diaper

- She still loves all foods!

- She is doing great with finger foods!

- She loves to crawl around and is now pulling up on things and would like to just walk off (and often times tries to - but ends up falling)

- She loves her exersaucer - She loves to JUMP!!!! - She loves to clap and say the word YEA! while she is clapping

- She loves to talk and carry on conversations

- She is a joy to be around

How many Pacis?

Marley is a paci hog! She likes to have one for each hand and one in her mouth! As you can see she loves three! She like to play a game with them, it goes like this: She has one in her mouth and I have one in mine (there is a little piece on the back side that I can hold between my teeth). She takes the one out of my mouth and I then take the one out of her mouth. She places the new one in her mouth and I do the same. Then she takes the one I have in my mouth and I take the one she has in her's! This can go on for a VERY long time!

A New Stage

Marley is pulling up! She loves to walk (while holding our hands)! But I had been resting easy in the fact that she was not big enough to pull up and try on her own. Well in watching her today...she was pulling up and letting go! I think she thought she could walk away on her own! Not very cool! -said Mom! She is to tiny to be doing such things! I guess when you have so many people around you doing something that looks so cool you just want to try it yourself! I think this is what they call peer pressure! I think we are going to have to watch her closely as she gets older and is surrounded by other peer pressures that are not good for her!

Mini Vanilla Waffers!

Marley would rather walk than crawl. But I have found a way to make her move! She loves mini vanilla waffers! So (John says like you would do for a dog) I put out a couple of her favorites and she moved her way right to them! Who would have guessed it!? She makes me smile! :)

Cool Contest

I heard from several friends (via their blogs) that there was a cool contest going on to win a digital picture frame! I have looked at these things and priced them until I am blue in the face knowing there is no way I am going to find the money for such a luxury! But winning one is ok ... right!? I think so!
